nothing subtle about this show LOL.
viserys flailing around trying to kill a roped up deer while his daughter struts back in to camp covered in blood dragging a dead boar.
great action at the end, daemon is a badass.
also the valeryons look ridiculous in those blond cornrow wigs, takes me right out of the scene (until dragons)

Ever considered the guy lost two fingers already plus its probably likely over the course of 3 years the fester on his back multiplied as well.
I think you are looking for woke where there is none.
The White Heart showing up for Rhaenyra and her going psycho on the boar was simply used as a story tool to give the viewer the idea that even the mystical/fantastical parts of Westeros favored the decision already made by Viserys. It gives the viewer more reason to understand whats coming soon.

I disagree. I think Corlys is fricking badass. If anyone can relate to a Lord. He would have to be that guy.

I think the Velaryons look great to be honest. Sea snake is a badass and Laenor might be heading that direction too

A boar she didn’t kill
Nothing screams girl power like a woman showing off a kill she didn’t do herself
You’re a fricking idiot

I mean...she did that on purpose. She could have easily have cleaned herself up at the lake they were camped by but instead chose to strut into camp covered in blood. She didn't do that because she wanted to appear like a bad arse to the entire royal court. It was a power move by her.

There was a point to how each killed their animals. Viserys didn't really want to do it. It's symbolizing the entire realm influencing him to name his son as the heir against his will. He ultimately does have a choice, but he's too weak to not let the other lords force his hand.
Rhaenyra had to kill the boar to survive. Well, I guess it was pretty much dead, but she didn't realize that. That and the White Hart seeking her out while others hunted it just shows that she needs to do what's best for her future and survival. Also, as others have said, walking back to camp with a dead boar is a way to show the others that she isn't some weak girl that can be married off.
