Flying from Orlando to San Jose only direct flight so I pulled the trigger. I am expecting the worst but dammit it’s only a 3 hour flight. Anybody want to give me any information on their experiences.

Frontier Airlines

I stopped reading here.

In all seriousness though, if you did the research and know what you're getting into you'll be fine. The largest issue I find with ULCC's is if you end up with IRROPS they typically are only flying flights 1x daily or sub-daily frequencies.

Also, I've never flown on them but those seats are tight, I'd book the extra legroom seats if I were you.

Hoping some other folks with Frontier experience can chime in here.

I’ve flown Frontier a few times. I’ve had a couple of delays, but nothing that much different than other carriers. Been moved free to better seats a few times. You’ll probably be fine.

Obviously not the same as flying Orlando to Costa Rica, but my daughters and I flew on Frontier New-Orleans Denver last summer round trip.

Basically the same as flying Southwest or any other airline, but with tiny tray tables.

Seats were as good as any other, no problems with delays or anything else.

It is a low-cost airline, so if you check luggage, you pay extra.

If you have a carry-on, you pay even more.

A back pack or other "personal item" is free (which is what we brought on our short trip). You can find online bags that fit the exact dimensions allowed for the low cost carriers' "personal items":
.

You can pay a couple of extra bucks to pick your seat in advance (we did that, I like a window seat).

And they don't serve drinks or snacks. Buy something in the terminal to take on the plane.

Paid extra for two seats, 1 check in, plus $100 for surfboard bag but the direct 3 hour flight to San Jose is what sold me thanks for the input
