As much as conservatives bitch about “revisionist history”, they play the same game and try to act like Dems are the war mongers. It wasn’t until Trump spoke out against these wars that R’s completely changed their tune. It was Republicans like Bush and Cheney that got us into these conflicts erroneously.

The Ron Paul Republicans have been the only consistent anti-war voice since 2002. The old anti-war Dems are now Cold Warriors who want us at war in Eastern Europe.

I wanted to go into Afghanistan and kill everything that moved.
I was never for pissing away money rebuilding that den of savages.
Iraq at least had oil. We should have taken it. Chuck Schumer bitched so much we didn't even give ExxonMobil and Chevron the oil contracts thanks to weak-arse W.

I recall pretty much everyone thought we needed to go into Afghanistan. They made up reasons to go into Iraq.

Sounds like you’re making the argument that Trump knew that many establishment Republicans were wolves in sheep’s clothing and convinced a lot of people to see the truth that they couldn’t or didn’t want to see before.
