They have lowered the predicted crest of the Pearl to 34.5, which is supposed to occur tomorrow. There will be some flooding mostly in NE Jxn, but fortunately not as much as originally thought. Although we got a ton of rain in the early part of last week, it hasn't rained much since Wednesday.

They like to inflate those rain calculations so they can dump every possible drop down the river. It’ll be high in bogalusa for a month so the folks on the ross Barnett don’t have to step up to get into their boats.

In person no, but my phone is always giving me a flood alert for the Pearl River that’s flowing between Bogalusa and Mississippi.

I live in Bogalusa in the Founders Dr. area. There is like a vein/man-made ditch that runs from Coburn Creek along the side of my lot to Ponemah Cemetery that is already up to it's banks. Just waiting for it to spill out and inundate my yard by the end of the week.

Is there any other way to be in Bogalusa?

Think you meant 35.5 ft. It’s already at 35.3 ft. Only a half foot lower than the original prediction.

The two white strip clubs in downtown Jxn are close to having water in them.

Please keep us heterosexual supporters of nursing students in your thoughts, in our times of need.

I’ve never heard of that but I never really hung out over in the founders area. Also you gotta get out of that neighborhood man. You gonna get the cancer.

I’m afraid to ask but why does living in a particular neighborhood give you cancer? I have no real knowledge of Bogalusa.

I feel like the past 5-8 years the PR has been at consistently high levels compared to when I was younger. That damn thing is always high and flooding. I would best it is having a damaging effect on the timber in PR wma and BC nwr.

That area is adjacent to the effluent plant for the paper mill. It’s just a large concrete pond with all the waste in it and sprinklers and aerators constantly churn it while the outflow goes to the river. People in that hood drop dead with cancer all the time.

I doesn't. No worse then living next to Exxon or any of the hundreds of process plant around LA. I am sure none of these walking dead never made any personal choices that could have led to their demise either.

The "One Lake Project" which has been around for at least 30 years, if every completed, may help down stream flooding.
