The people who got the PPP Loan (and then forgiveness) didn't just keep all that money for themselves. They had to prove that it was used to keep employees on the payroll AND that they paid their employees during that period
So you got to use free money to pay your employees instead of out of pocket? Yeah, tap dance all you want, business owners received a huge windfall compared to the normal blue collar worker

Free money? They shut down the fricking country, literally forced businesses to close for two weeks and made it hard as hell to stay open for the next year and a half. Everyone who got money from the ppe was an employee who would have been laid off because the business wasn't making fricking money because the stupid arse government shut them down for COVID.

People can't pay back their student loans because they were too dumb to get a marketable degree from the liberal arts universities of their dreams that cost them $150,000 to attend over 4 years of sex with ugly people and shitty booze. That's no one's fault but their own.

“Out of pocket” means from revenue that couldn’t be generated because the government forced you to shut down.

It’s amazing how hard it is for some of the mouth breathers on this board to understand how the PPP worked and why it was put in place.

You apparently aren't familiar with the concept of "you break it, you bought it".

Holy shite! Found the tard!

I'm guessing you don't realize that BUSINESSES were shut down during COVID. amirite? Let me, let you in on a little clue. How was a business supposed to pay it's bills and payroll, when GOVERNMENT forces them to lock their doors? Hell, some business owners were arrested just for being open!

When they were forced to shut down by the govt, where exactly would the revenues come from to pay employees.

Sure. Use your own money to pay employees while you’re mandated to shutdown by the government. Liberal logic strikes again.

The entire premise of the PPP was to keep people employed while the business was shut down or limited.
