Hard to believe they haven't been mentioned yet but The Allman Brothers Band put out a few great studio albums back in the day even if some of them were quasi live/studio mixes but in no particular order these 3
The Allman Brothers Band
Eat a Peach
Brothers and Sisters
are all great studio albums with great songs.
Fwiw...any band that creates Mountain Jam IS a jam band!

I have copies of at least a hundred Dead shows but when it comes to studio output the Allman Brothers win this easily just on the basis of Eat a Peach and Brothers and Sisters alone.
