When evaluating the tools that make a successful quarterback, max sprint speed is so far down the list it's practically immaterial.

Speed isn’t in the same galaxy of importance as accuracy and intelligence, but it’s still material, especially in college. This guy is an explosive athlete and will make highlight reel plays with his feet if given an opening.

True, but Jefferson was one of our more successful QBs versus Bama and he didn’t do it with his arm. :)

It could be REAL important this year……for the QB. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think the O-line will be able to protect. We will have to run the ball.

When your OL is questionable and your QB is thin, I’d rather he be fast than slow, so it’s at least a little bit important.
