ND should go 9-3 this year, losing to OSU, splitting Clemson and USC, then one upset (UNC or BYU is my guess). If Freeman can hold it together after OSU week 1 and actually finishes 9-3 or better then he has a chance to long term be successful. If the wheels come off early in the season he is toast. Blowing the lead against Okie State will haunt him.

That's going to be really unlikely with their schedule. After OSU to open the season, they have Marshall, Cal, UNC, BYU, Stanford, UNLV, and Syracuse. I'd be pretty floored if Notre Dame started the season worse than 6-2 (and honestly expect them to start 7-1), and I really have a hard time seeing them go worse than 8-4 overall.
