Having trouble finding that switch. The refrigerant charging port is on the left side of the engine. Would it be further back on that same line towards the cabin or further towards the front?

As someone else said you need to determine if the ac clutch is engaging you can’t just look at the belt and pulley because it is always turning. Could be a low/high pressure switch.

Your AC compressor locked up. Get out your wallet.

Just went by autozone and had the computer read.

Switch is out.

I heard my wallet audibly cry out in joy when the lady showed it to me.

Sorry it did not work. The reason I gave this link was that a lot of time when a GM gets voltage spikes it causes the hvac to go haywire. Check compressor and fan relays before giving money to someone you don't have to. BTW I am the someone, except I try to keep you from spending money when you don't have to.

Shouldn't be too hard to find as it has an electrical wire running into it. The switch controls when the pulley clutch engages to actually turn the compressor. Changing the switch is easy (on most models). They are self sealing, so no messing with refrigerant. Simpley unplug the electrical connector, replace the switch, plug in the new one.

Just read back in the post .. glad it was the switch .. cheap to replace.
