Searched but didn’t see a thread.
According to SEC Now, Devin wore #18. I didn’t recall that.

Did they get it wrong?

Foster Moreau wore it in 2018.

Had White come back for his senior year he would have definitely gotten it.

No question he was deserving. A true leader by example.

I think Hester was campaigning for him to get it back then

Pretty sure I remember him saying that he wanted to make ‘40’ its own thing (as in tradition).

To be fair, it was more of a white guy thing at the time.

. It should be totally about being a leader. I wonder if we will ever see a white guy wear 7?

Perhaps if Jack Bech all of a sudden lit the world on fire, he may have a shot.

Tre White and one of the Taylor brothers would like a word.

More black than white players had been awarded 18 up to that point

Yes. Devin White left LSU wearing #40. One of the best players to not wear #18.

To be fair, multiple black football players had worn #18 by that 2018 season including Richard Murphy (2010), Brandon Taylor (2011), Bennie Logan (2012), Lamin Barrow (2013), Terrence Magee (2014), and Tre'davious White (2015-16). So if White had played in 2009, you may have had a point.

The graphic had a pic and it said “White” Peter Burns mistakingly said Devin White. Which is weird cause he’s a BR guy and LSU fan.
