I think the appeal of being closer to home was family and girlfriend. The girlfriend is gone to Austin now. I think the appeal of being closer to family is still there and I'm sure he realizes the pub that the SEC gets, so he'll listen. Jay is the ultimate closer, so we'll see.
In other news, LSU has spoken to Stephen Klein. As I've said previously, Klein still wants to go pro but he's entertaining transfer spots around the southeast.

Remember this - CJJ has a ‘mental mold’ he wants each player to conform to; specifically, must be able to put the goals of the team before individual achievements. He’s worked 2+ yrs on the foundation for this ‘culture’ and he’s not going to break that model for anyone.
He highlighted that mantra again this am on OTB when talking about building 2024’s roster. I’ve said from the beginning Burns’ departure from UTKnox and his reasoning justifying leaving did not fit CJJ’s team character. Wish the kid well but I’m glad he’s not here.

I heard the Moscona segment last week. The three players he mentioned not coming were Lape and two former commits: J. Burch from Delgado and J. Vanek.

Off topic right now but wanted to point out that Billy Amick went to Tenn with intentions to play 3B. This was assuming Zane Denton was getting drafted but here we are…good problem to have for Tenn but we’ll see who’s better defensively. Both can hit. Should’ve waited till after the draft to make a decision like that IMO.

I could be wrong, but I think he was a redshirt sophomore this year and has two years of eligibility remaining.
