Sounds like they're preaching loving another despite their sins. Good for them.

The Christian faith calls for repentance. That statement, as fluffy as it sounds, is a blanket excuse which is where a lot of the swaying pop concert churches are. From a theological standpoint, it's empty and not in line with the gospel. From a philosophical standpoint, it's the usual self-help fluff that demands no responsibility for actions or choices.

They can do as they like, but it takes more guts to believe in something difficult than cross out the parts you don't like.

What makes a person a Christian is the acknowledgement that they are sinners, that what they do is bad, and that they need to repent from said sins. Ultimately you are to recognize you are incapable of earning your way into heaven, instead you need to acknowledge Jesus as your Savior. Without Him, you have no chance.

Deuteronomy 4:24 ESV
For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Deuteronomy 6:15 ESV
For the Lord your God in your midst is a jealous God—lest the anger of the Lord your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

The purge is coming. Repentance is necessary. If someone walks away, they walk away from their eternity. Or have you not read ANY of the prophecies? I repeat, this is a time for utmost repentance. As Nineveh repented, so should we,

Yeah but Jesus also told the woman to go sin no more. Point is, of course we are to give second chances and love the sinner but by the same token, that doesn’t give a free pass when the sin is blatantly continued.
