Do you think anyone has any sympathy for this woman? What is even remotely controversial about this case that would lead you to believe she would get off easy?
There is video of this woman barreling drunk through an intersection at 100+ mph in the middle of the day. A pregnant woman and a one year old were killed. Six other children were injured. There is no societal pressure to go easy on this woman.
If anything, Gascon is feeling the pressure and this is the perfect, high-profile case to make an example out of someone.
She is going to spend the rest of her life in jail. Period. frick her.

I just watched the video. If you watch it closely, you can see the glass break at the convenience store across the intersection, that's where that poor baby went through the window after being ejected. Christ.

Doubtful. My cousin was killed by a DD who was going the wrong way and hit them at 90 mph. He got 2 years and was out in 1. This lady will probably be sentenced to 20 and not do the whole time. If she's really doing something with her phone like streaming or something maybe there's a chance it would be life as it could be considered aggravated.
But I agree, frick her and I hope she does get life.
