There is a thing called a map where you can look at towns and cities around Augusta. Then you can check to where there is availability.
Did this, Hiltons and Marriotts are at least 90-120 minutes away. I am not familiar with the different cities in Georgia, not sure if some offer a better route of travel. Also figured that as others on this board have been in the past, maybe they could offer some advice for a first timer.

Lol.
6 downvotes and 4 replies before a real answer.
A nation divided at times. But when it comes to a guy who got Masters tickets….. Go frick yourself.

The only answer here is to stay in JDs RV in the Hooters parking lot.

If you are staying in the area and doing more than just the Masters, Hickory Knob State Park has some decent cabins and there are 3 courses to play within 15 minutes of there. It is an hour drive to Augusta National so it may not be the best place if you plan on going to the tournament every day you are there.

Yes. I used to play the Hickory Knob course a lot and it's a fairly decent layout with a few challenging holes. The greens putt slow but there are a few holes where you have to hit good shots or you're screwed because they are so tight with woods on both sides.
That frickin par 5 #2 hole going up that steep hill kicked my tail regularly and #9 was a bit tough to.

Easy answer is Aiken just up the interstate across the lake.

Obviously, everything in Augusta is sold out. For those that have been, what city did you stay in or which to you recommend?
I just drive.

I’ll rent you the shed behind my childhood home in North Augusta.
