I'm not sure what you pay him. Guess the top slot corners are probably reasonable
quote:
Per Over the Cap, the current highest-paid slot cornerback in the NFL on a per-year basis is 2019 Detroit Lions signee Justin Coleman. He inked a four-year, $36 million deal that pays him $9 million on average, edging out Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tavon Young ($8.6 million per year) and the recently signed Chris Harris Jr. ($8.5 million per year). Yet, all those players hover around 20th overall in average salary at the cornerback position.

if he is reasonable...yes, pay him.
however, if the other DBs pan out like they seem to be, then you can just as easily trade him. there are positions that this roster could use improvement.

9.5-13.5 mill a year is probably the range but this is a strange contract situation. Chauncey is unique in his skillset.

That's the problem. He wants more than that imo.
If if was 4 yrs 35 mil it wouldn't be a problem.

He's worth that, IMO.

Where did you get this outdated info? Coleman was cut by Det back in 2021 and is on a 1 year deal with Seattle for just over $1M. Young was released by Balt in '22 and is on a 1 year deal w Chicago for ~$1M
Why would either of these be the basis of Ceedy's contract?
