It seems as if a democrat already occupied the seat. He literally voted to impeach the President of his "own" party over nothing.
He didn't vote against some Trump policy his constituents didn't agree with...he voted against his constituents. Therefore, byebye!

The redistricting made it slightly more Democratic. It’s been a Republican district for over 40 years.

There is a reason the Democratic party poured money into Gibbs during the primary. They have a much better chance now to flip it.
