I can see how people fell for him early in the pandemic. You had a media that was so reviled by the public and you had this calm, charming, and decently reassuring figure doing the talking that you’d trust him unlike the likes of Chris Cuomo who repeatedly lied about the virus when it came to himself, his brother, and the handling of the virus in general. Now after April when Fauci admitted to lying about the masks, no excuses from there, but I can see why people would trust Fauci’s apparent but false stability that the media was anything but.

This all happened under Trump. He was pushing for a vaccine. Evidently it wasn't under June 2020 when he started to really take it serious, after a close friend of his went into the hospital then later died from Covid. After that he started pushing hard for the vaccine. That's information you can google. They probably don't tell you people this on whatever news network that pushes its own agenda (like most networks do, for both sides), but the worst part of Covid happened under Trump.

So if 90% (and that’s conservative) of elderly are vaccinated and 50% of deaths were vaccinated, then that means the 10% unvaccinated made up the other 50%- meaning elderly people were at least 9x more likely to die if they were unvaccinated.
1,000,000 people died. I work in healthcare. Our system has still not recovered; staffs are strained and fatigued and covid wards are filling up again as we speak.
Claiming that covid and the efforts to thwart it was a scam while you no doubt follow the most transparent scam artist in American history is mind-numbing irony.
