yes, people with money have a casual disinterest in sports because it's perceived as something that people without money care too much about. they're the "corporate" fans that teams want because they have money, the people that tell you to sit down when you want to make noise on third and 15, the people that sell their tickets except when the opponent is in the top 10 or it's a prime-time game, etc.
