The shear numbers that people use a firearm to defend themselves is something that has never been reported by the media (except gun groups and pro-gun authors) and for that matter, Republicans don't tout those numbers. Those numbers should be the first thing that come out of their mouths when gun-control measures are introduced and infringing on our rights.
