Russia is currently bucking the international system while China is trying to become a regional hegemon.
Soo..no. Not even close.
The whole Russia-China-India-Pakistan-Japan-Korea area of the world ensures that there will not be any one ruling force anytime soon. Those countries alone are approaching 1/3 of the world's population and they'll NEVER agree to a single ruler without total subjugation.

Are you saying "no, they're not even trying", or
"no, they will never succeed"?

You mean one country that turned to communism with a concentrated central power, one that might still have an emperor now if not for WW2, and a country that operates in a caste system and was run by a small island country 4,700 miles away, all within the last 80 years, wouldn't possibly fall for a one world government?
