Get some big-name Hondurans on the team and it'll be a packed house.

I think Louisville is a really good example of how to do it right. Louisville is the largest college basketball market in the country. City is very basketball focused, and NOLA is similarly focused on Football. In spite of this, Louisville FC has been very successful.
It’s all about getting a solid fan Org built and plugging in all the kids teams. I think Louisville found a core group of fans that was hungry for a non-basketball sport to root for. They started at the minor league park and did a great job building a fan base while they got funding for a proper new site that’s really nice. This has a ton of potential I’d think to be successful. Like all sports it sure would help if they hit the ground and won some games like Louisville FC did…

Is there an open field with no stands? They could play there.

Your former coach John Hackworth is a college classmate of mine.

Hopefully not near the convention center river whatever land. That's one of the bigger areas to develop that can still pull both downtown visitors and locals. Part of the equation for what should go in the undeveloped area is "can this attract tourists?" because locals alone won't be enough to support whatever ends up there (i.e. people living in New Orleans often don't want to go downtown, much less people from Jefferson Parish and the Northshore). The Pelicans have enough problems getting people to NBA games so why is there any belief that a minor league soccer team is going to do well enough to justify a new stadium?

campaign this week to ask local soccer fans for their opinions on where the team should play, its name and its colors.
NOLA Carjackers has a ring to it.

Pam Am is a dump. Even the high school teams that play soccer there don’t like it.
