PEORIA, Ill. – Christopher Brackett, 41, of East Peoria, Ill., former host of “Fear No Evil,” a hunting show that aired on the Outdoor Channel, pleaded guilty today in federal court to unlawful transportation of wildlife, in violation of the Lacey Act. Brackett admitted that in December 2013, during filming of an episode of his cable show, he killed two bucks within minutes of each other, when the state of Indiana permitted hunters to kill only one buck per season. Brackett further admitted that he transported the second, 11-point buck he had nicknamed the “Unicorn Buck,” for its unique antler formation, to his home in East Peoria.

Well he broke the rules and got caught. Hopefully he has learned his lesson and will follow the rules going forward.

I remember his show a little and kinda remember his as being an arrogant, affliction shirt wearing, kinda guy, but I could be wrong.

Nothing screams reformed like claiming God is molding you towards a book deal once your probation is over.

I think his clothing line was called Arrow Affliction.

ETA: Nevermind, his company was called Fear No Evil and his show was called Arrow Affliction.

Yup. I love how he calls it a fiasco. He was hit with a Lacey act violation for transporting poached deer over state lines. Dude is a mess. It wasn't as if he made a honest mistake. He left a smaller buck to rot because a bigger buck stepped out minutes after he'd shot the other.

Yeah. In my experience, nobody goes down hard for a game law ‘technicality.’ If they come after you, you probably did a lot more than what you actually got caught with.

He looks like if Corky and Bret Michaels had a love child.

What a dumb arse. Threw away a career over a deer. How about just filming the bigger buck and letting it go and wrapping up the episode with, "Wouldn't you know it, folks? Literally minutes after I arrowed that first buck, this stud came walking within bowshot. That's hunting for ya." You get to show the deer you killed, some nice footage of another deer, and maybe some self-deprecating humor mixed in. But, most important of all, you get to impart to your viewers (and maybe some non-hunters) a quick lesson on hunting ethics.
Nah, just take the shot.
