Browsed the city via 'Google Maps' today. Mostly checking out main thoroughfares I remember (Canal, Claiborne, Elysian Fields, Franklin, St. Claude, etc.)

So you haven't been there. Got it.
We live 40 minutes from New Orleans.
I took my family to Van Gogh and Hamilton in the last month.
Both experiences were perfect. They reminded me of what I already knew about this great city and exposed my kids what New Orleans has to offer.

The city is wonderful. The media and the OTers like you are not.

Every New Orleans hater story starts with “so I followed my buddy down a back alley in the 9th ward and it’s a shame what the city has come to”
