So the animals were treated humanely?

Whew. Glad you know all of this first hand
This is pitiful even for you. Nobody has suggested the animals were not mistreated. We are discussing who was overseeing the contractor. Was Fauci directly overseeing this cruel treatment as suggested by op.

But, I realize that sometimes people have to be simple and ascribe thoughts to their opposition that are not present just so they can feel good about their argument.

independent companies can be provided grants to do independent work usually under the name of a specific individual within the company.

it isn't a contract, it is awarded funds. A contract is work done on behalf of the government. that's not happening.

It's ok to be wrong. It's not ok to double down on it.

Once again....an incredibly quick google search returned that Envigo has recieved federal contracts.

i said they could be awarded grants. the link you provided quite literally says awards on it.

i dont know what you are even getting at here regardless. the usda, a federal funded organization, shut down envigo practices at that site.

I've had beagles all my life. Sadly, I know why they're the dog of choice for medical experimentation. They're loving and naturally trusting. Great companion dogs.

They are very emotional and hyperventilating in their excitement about bashing Fauci. I don't like the man either, but because I suggested he's not lording over the mistreatment of these animals, I'm now part of the Cult of Fauci. It's amusing how simple they are.

Yeah Fauci's never been responsible for any animal tortures....

quote:

“In the tests, 44 beagle puppies who were just 6-8 months old were repeatedly injected with or force-fed an experimental drug for weeks, and then killed and dissected,” the post said. “The documents also show that Fauci’s NIH division paid to have the puppies’ vocal cords cut out so they couldn’t bark in the lab while they were being abused.”

“There are still many open FOIA requests filed by WCW, so we are trying to find out all we can in terms of what Fauci knew about these grants,” Goodman said. “But, NIAID has already admitted to doing beagle experiments inside the federal lab run by Fauci, and as the director of the division of the NIH that funded all of these beagle experiments, the buck stops with him.”

All hail lord Fauci....The man who has never been the subject of questionable ethics.

NIAID directed $424,455 to researchers at the University of Georgia in September 2020 to infect dozens of beagles with disease-causing parasites in order to test an experimental drug on them, according to documents obtained by White Coat Waste Project (WCW) and reviewed by the Daily Caller. According to an NIAID task order form released via a Freedom Of Information Act request, the 28 beagles were to be allowed to develop infections for three months before being euthanized for blood collection.
The dog experiments are set to be completed by January 2022, however, the task order states that the beagles are to be euthanized 196 days after the start of the study. According to emails obtained by WCW, the study began on Nov. 12, 2020, meaning the beagles would have been scheduled to be euthanized in June 2021.

The Daily Caller reached out to both NIAID and the principal investigator involved with the study at the University of Georgia, Dr. Andrew Moorhead, to try and verify whether the beagles were euthanized, but received no response.

The dogs were to be infected with flies that carry a disease-causing parasite that can affect humans. Dr. Anthony Fauci, NIAID and the National Institutes of Health as a whole have been under intense scrutiny in recent months over what types of animal testing should be funded with taxpayer grants in light of questions about gain of function experimentation at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

You're intentionally ignoring the fact that his lab(yes...his..as in...the Lab was confirmed by his agency to have been run by Fauci) was found to have been torturing dogs.

How many times are you going to ignore this while tirelessly defending your lord and savior?

Hopefully this helps him. If the word "contract" didn't tip him off enough.....

quote:

Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract
An Indefinite Quantity Contract is a type of Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC). Sometimes the government contracts to buy supplies or services from a vendor over a period of time. For instances that government does not know the exact quantity it will need, an Indefinite Quantity Contract sets a quantity range with a min and max. It does not specify an exact number. For services, this is often called a Task Order Contract. For supplies, this is often called a Delivery Order Contract.

I know of that. Different issue. That is university medical research. That has been done for centuries. Without animal research, we'd have fewer medical treatments and shorter lifespans.
