Maybe I'm just a cynic, but talk about entitlement to complain that you got the same gift. 
Dude paid for your ride and left you a parting gift that's worth some money. And I'm willing to bet the night was good if you went back for a 2nd time. There are far worse ways to send off a one night stand than a free ride and a gift basket.
If I'm Jeter I just own it.

The headline is clickbait. He's not sad. He's telling the truth. And he doesn't really care what people think. He laughed it off then and now he was just chatting and answering the question
