Peanuts to repairing gas engine

There's not much on a gas engine that someone can't do at home regarding basic maintenance and it's not expensive. If you have to get a new battery every few years I'm not thinking it's cheaper than repairs on a gas engine.

Not having to use my time to do engines repairs, and maintenance is worth a lot, plus I have spent around $150 just on gas for my riding mower so far this year,. The cost to charge and periodically replace the battery will probably be less than the yearly fuel cost for a average gas powered riding mower.

How much gas will you consume "every few years"?
