Was going through some boxes in the attic and found the ole 1997 LSU/Florida tickets. Brings back so many memories:

Rum soaked cokes rained down from the student section...the constant chants...the noise...the upset. Was still the greatest moment for me in that stadium. Probably helped I got laid after the game.

Without a doubt, my favorite LSU sports memory in person! Especially after enduring the Hallman years prior.

Best game I attended, but you had a better ending to that night.

Don't remember the specifics (pretty lit) but I am 100% confident I yelled "Geaux Tigers" at some point.

And the night the goalposts came down!!!! Still the most electric game I have ever been to. The stadium never let up that night and I couldn't sit the entire game.

Didn't make the game, but I remember driving down I-10 afterward with my friend hanging out the passenger window with his LSU jersey on, taunting all of the UF fans driving back east.

I don't know about that. I hope seeing historic LSU football wins in person is more infrequent than getting laid...

It felt great to finally beat Spurrier. People forget how dominant he was.

I remember no one gave LSU a chance. They barely beat Vandy the week before and then Cecil Collins goes out with a season ending injury. I had an extra ticket to this game but no one wanted to go because they thought LSU would get slaughtered. Florida was on a 25-game SEC winning streak. But Kevin Faulk, Herb Tyler, Cedric Donaldson, and company showed up. Sorry I couldn't find a great pic of the Cedric Donaldson pick-6 that sealed the deal. But what a walk down memory lane seeing some of these:

For 90’s kids that came of age during the Hallman era, we wear it as a badge of honor that we became diehard fans while the team was at its worst.

That’s why any time my fandom is called into question on this board I become a defensive Karen.

I have the 92 Mississippi State game on DVD (shout out to Old Mac—TYFYS). Only conference win of that abysmal season and I remember being on cloud 9 after that win, and later the one over Tulane.

In my world having a sellout crowd was impossible much less beating Florida in front of it. It was like finding bigfoot—that’d be cool, but yeah right.

Times have certainly changed.

And I was there. I remember walking through the portal to sec 214, the atmosphere was ELECTRIC! I don’t think I sat down after the National Anthem played!

Couple days later was my birthday, my wife(sorry, no pics) had the coolest cake decorated for me. After the game, we spent hours tailgating, couldn’t get out anyhow, traffic wasn’t going anywhere!

The reaction in the student section when that happened was insane. It sounds weird to say it but it set the tone for the section for the game.

Those frickers walked from The UF section with that Work Em Silly gators banner and were stunned how that ended for them

I remember the guy who did it was featured in the Reveille that week
