I’m onboard with giving Ange a shot.

I feel like a lot of the bad takes is just typical twitter morons spewing BS and overall fans wouldn’t be that against the appointment. Having Nagelsmann available and not going after him is probably the biggest reason people don’t like Ange

I agree with that regarding Nagelsmann. The thing that bothers me about it all is I’m watching all the teams that finished above us starting on their planning and recruitment for next season and we’re sitting here without a DoF or a manager. We really shouldn’t be making any decisions without those positions filled and yet here we are 1 week after the season and no closer to having either position filled. Levy has got to remove himself from the football aspect of this club. He can manage sponsorships, events, real estate, etc. He has proven that he is absolutely clueless when it comes to making decisions that impact the product on the pitch.

Yeah, I think this is it. It’s how the board has, once again, gone about the actual search. It would be one thing if they identified Postecoglu as the man from the outset, but it again just feels like the cheap/easy option after all others were deemed too expensive/difficult.

That’s not to say he isn’t the right guy though. He seems to be likeable, and someone you’d want to see succeed, and will no doubt attempt to play more attractive football than the last 3 managers.

It seems like a Nuno-esque hire, but I feel better about Big Ange than I did Nuno. Ultimately he’ll still have levy & the board making decisions above him so I’m not sure how much he can actually achieve, but if he’s the guy I’m willing to give it a chance.
