this is my 8th year of Little League and hopefully my last as hopefully my youngest will be in travel ball next year. Everyone trashes travel ball but by far the worst parents i have seen have been in little league tball and coach pitch, especially girls tball. Little league parents are terrible, especially during the season, but grandparents are the worst. I will say, south lake charles has been 1000000x better this year than other leagues i have been involved in from a parental standpoint. hardly had any issue during season and none during all stars, been so refreshing but honestly not surprising since most of the kids come from 2 parent households that are middle to upper middle class.

like a week ago at the girls tball little league all stars a grandpa of the sulphur team came on the field and punched umpire after the game. then when he got in the car, the coaches got in front to keep them from leaving until the cops got there. the grandma runs over a coaches foot and leg....both grandparents arrested for felony assualt. All over a girls tball game

ftr the parents were same way when i played, especially ville platte as mentioned. mid city was/is bad too.

onyl time i ever see anything remotely like that in travel ball it is usually an assistant from one of the alexandria area teams getting into it with an ump. only other thing i have seen is some of the lower level teams from around lafayette..their players and coaches can get pretty bad especialy the players with the elbowing shite when umpire isnt looking or the hard tags to the helment on pickoffs.

from what i have seen.....higher division and higher the age group...less you see these issues.

I was a catcher and played farm team, dixie youth, pony league, and american legion in the great town of Ville Platte, LA. I got trucked a few times as a catcher, and I've trucked a few catchers as a baserunner. No one was ejected; no one got hurt.

Although, a classmate of mine, and a really good ball player got his elbow blown out in high school when the catcher fell on top of him in a play at the plate. Had to have surgery.

You gotta watch those grandpas...especially the ones that show up for about one game every 2 years.

My kid plays majors ball, the games are like graveside services. 'come on blue' is about all you hear and that is over balls and strikes, or a 'that is horrible' on a bad call. But it is generally a bad call.
