For the people who indulged in the cocaine heyday of the 70s and 80s but cleaned up, how did they do it?
One of the biggest misconceptions thanks to the government and movies is how addictive cocaine when it's snorted in powder form.
As popular as it was and is, it's often much easier to quit than booze, cigarettes, and heroin.

I think once you start seeing your friends or at least the people you do drugs with die, that makes you take a step back and realize you may need help.
Some never get to that point.

Physically it’s not bad at all, alcohol and benzo’s are by far the worst. The heavy Xanax guys can take a month to get back to a decent sleep schedule which makes trying to stay sober outside of a clinical setting really tough

Alcohol was not that bad for me. I was real bad but quit cold Turkey almost 9 months ago.

You had it easy which is awesome. My body shut down and I had a seizure when I tried to do it on own

You're being down voted, but it's the truth. Getting off Benzos like Valium and Xanax is considered as hard or harder than opiates. I

Yea I should have been more specific when I said opiates, I meant benzos.
Alcohol is the winner though, it’s just too available for most to kick.
