All this tinkering with line up is dumb. These players "will" start and play period.

I'm not giving a batting order here but these guys "are gonna start", not share time, not alternate next season. Providing there are no problems in fall with progression these are the guys that are going to play.
Tre 3
Crews 8
Dugas 7
Jobert dh
Thompson 6/4
Pearson 9
Transfers based on this season's stats
Tanks 5
Which leaves
6/4 middle infielder(Pineta/Romero)
2 position
Pinaeta, yes he was decently okay in the middle at baylor but no one knows if Romero will show up or not and be lights out yet.
Who will actually fill the 2 position? We all know Alex can be a solid defensive guy. Is CJJ working on a solid catcher from the portal ? I'd like to think so. We need a SEC bat in the 2 position not just solid defense behind the plate but solid hitting also.
The above will start and leave a middle infielder open and as time passes we will know if milazzo will be the catcher or not. Say what you want but facts are facts. Stevenson will get at bats and p.t. during the season. Those 1st 7 guys are gonna play those positions so don't act like they wont. To make a statement that TM won't play the 3 position is just stupid.

Milazzo will start at catcher. He is a game changer at that position. You need him to bat around the Mendoza line. Look at the guys like Maldonado in Houston. Dude is money. LSU if fully staffed in the direction they are going will not need a lot from his bat.

Crews
Morgan
White are written in stone
I would say no one else is. All depends on who shows up to campus

Only Tre, Crews, and Pearson are safe. Dugas is probably pretty close, if he stays. Jobert and Thompson aren't safe.
Counting everyone on the roster now:
Tre
Crews
Pearson
White
Pineda
Now you try to find 4 other guys. If you're short, then the Dugas, Jobert, Thompson, freshmen come into play. If you're 1 short, Dugas is in. If you're 2 or more short, everybody is competing.

Isn't Kling a day 1 starter as well?

If you think Pineda is not a sure fire starter at SS or 2nd, you need to put down the bottle.

Jobert is absolutely not guaranteed a starting spot
Milazzo is the first option at catcher. He makes all the pitchers better

I don’t think anybody short of Dylan Crews has a position with his name on it.
Maybe an idea, but if Tommy White comes to fall ball and can’t touch a Ty Floyd fastball during any scrimmage, I’d venture to say he wouldn’t start game 1. That won’t happen, but point being these names y’all are listing are dependent upon fall production.
Joe Blow may show up as a 1/20th scholly player from middle of no where Louisiana and hit 30 home runs in the fall or suddenly find a breaking ball/change up nobody can touch.
Nobody is written in stone.
