quote:

I will NEVER own a weapon for concealed carry without one in the chamber, or with a manual safety, because once I pull my weapon out, I WILL BE USING IT. If I feel the threat is significant enough that I cant get away, or that I need to draw, shots will be fired.
You are partly correct.

You draw if you reasonably believe that you or a third party (family member is about as far as this third party stuff should go) is in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm.

But if you draw the pistol, and the person whose actions caused you to draw the gun drops his weapon, leaves or otherwise ceases to be a threat -- you have zero right to use deadly force.

So no one should have a mindset that says, "If I draw my pistol I'm going to be using it."

I'm only drawing if I feel as if I am in imminent danger. You can do you, but if I draw, I feel like myself or someone else is going to die if I don't. If some punk wants my wallet, I'm not drawing. Dude can have my DL and 2 Credit Cards that I can put a stop on with 2 phone calls.
