A life for a life. We make a mockery of the value of human life by allowing unrepentant murderers like this to walk the earth. Ultimate vengeance may be the Lord’s, but I’m happy with unleashing the State’s for now.

I agree. Those frickers don't care about going to jail.
I think I'd try to fashion some sharp thick pin/punch onto my key ring and throw it in the dish and take my chance in the detector.
Or my favorite weapon to try, ice knife.

Child killers in prison become targets. He will get beaten and or killed in prison.

Would have liked to seen the dad put ole boy in the sleeper then drop to the ground like a boa until lights out forever. Security wouldn’t have been able to pry him off until it was too late.
