Both of these are correct, and you can end the thread. Fried okra and fried yellow squash.

I love fried okra but can’t have it any longer. Fired squash and fried green tomatoes are still very much on the menu though.

I love fried okra, but when you get it in a restaurant, it's amazing how many places can't really cook it, turning it instead into hard little rocks with a thick batter. You can't even taste the okra.
