I love this recruiting shite sooo much, I know it’s early both in calendar and CBKs LSU career. I know we’re in new territory w/ NIL but everyone is playing with the same deck even though some people have more chips, but going into the dead period this is the least amount of commits we’ve had a this point in this decade. I feel CBK will kill it next year?? Hopefully but I’m nervous. I’ve followed this stuff since the late 80s and I’m a little antsy. I feel getting all these visitors on their first visits is risky because I know they compare every trip and their attention span isn’t long. I read everything I can and the vibes from the Top Cats don’t look promising— something just doesn’t sound right. I know the NIL bs but everyone is dealing with it. I know the Graduating Champions sounds good to the parents but the majority of Elites are eyeing the NFL. We’ve sent a buttload of players to the pros but not this staff AT LSU. Just venting a little bit , not melting, just nervous that’s all. The insiders of this page have all but disappeared.

Go look at the number of teams with 6-7 or less commits at this point and it will make you feel better. It's June.

Here’s the difference. Other teams are in consideration for the top players while LSU is nowhere to be found.

That's not even remotely true.

The chicken littles are going to try & convince you to panic and expect a down recruiting year.

Just have common sense, ignore them, & be patient.

If we get to the season with the same amount of commits, red flags should be up.

I don't think anyone would argue that.

Start with the top 10-20 from LA then look at the top 100-150 in the country.

Not sure why people aren’t getting this. Bama/UGA can have small classes at this point because they cash in on the big dogs at the end…we always get left at the alter. Every big time OOS recruit LOVES their visit to LSU..how many have committed? And then you add in NIL it makes it even harder. Maybe this staff changes that. Maybe they won’t. This class will be solid but will lack star power

Coach O would have had about 10 or 12 committs around this time. I'm not worried tho, if we win, they will come.

yeah probably and 6 of those commits wouldn't have stuck. So what's the difference really? That's how I look at it. Commits in June mean absolutely nothing if they were just reaches and you were gonna kick them out the class anyway.

We've just recently even been able to discuss NIL with any recruit. Now with the new law opening up NIL in Louisiana the staff will obviously take advantage of that situation.

Performance on the field and organization/plan in … well the LSU football organization … is what is going to matter.

If there was going to be a bit of a fall off , it would be the start of this year. A lot of unknowns and a new staff in a new territory.
All that can change in a heart beat if BK starts to get this thing rolling.

Fortunately, we have a lot of time and as everyone knows, a lot can change from June to signing day.

With the transfer portal, why sweat it?

I'm sure there's no context to anything related to that. Every recruitment is equal, got it.

I just went through the top 150 on 247 composite and counted 31 names that we have been highly connected with in terms of top schools, visits, etc and that's just what we've seen, not what's going on behind closed doors in the recruiting meetings etc. I mean did you want us to be in the top 2 or the favorite for every player in the top 150? If so, this sounds like a you problem.

on LA, I don't even want the top 20 kids in the state, I don't think some of them are all that good.

Well, Walker Howard, Will Campbell, Demario Tolan, Greg Brooks, Harold Perkins, Emory Jones, Mason Taylor,
Quincy Wiggins, Laterrence Welch, and others (all 4 & 5 star recruits) say hello.

They are probably a little insulted the way you talk.

I don't think he actually wanted you to go look & breakdown the top 150.

I think he just wanted you to agree with him so he could keep the narrative going.
