I don't believe we are getting Ricky Collins or any other QB, for that matter, in this 2023 recruiting cycle.

Why? Because unless a new recruit can beat out Walker Howard, which is highly unlikely, the earliest they can possibly see the field to start for LSU is in their fifth red shirt senior season in 2027.

Hence, common sense dictates not to do that to yourself unless you are stupid enough to not be aware of the situation as Eli Holstein appears to be in his commitment to Alabama.

Now in the 2024 recruiting cycle, on the other hand, it will be imperative for LSU to do whatever is necessary to get the best QB recruit possible to commit to LSU.

What?
They could be starting in 26 if Howard goes pro
Actually Howard could win the job in 23, be a stud in 24 then go pro

So a QB we sign in 23 will be in their 3rd or 4th year with a good chance to start

Nussmeier will start in 2022, 2023, & 2024
Howard will start in 2025 & 2026.

The earliest anyone who foolishly commits to play QB for LSU in this 2023 recruiting cycle can possibly play provided they win the starting job is in their fifth red shirt season in 2027.

If we get Moore at QB, Sampson and Jalen Brown at WRs, Jaxon Howard and Mac Marcaway at TEs….. Wow

Y’all think Dan Smith commits/signs with LSU with his brother at JUCO and does he have an offer from the new staff? I see Kyle Parker in that spot.

If nuss is good enough to win the job this year then he isn’t going to be here in 24

Trying to project out 4 years at any any major P5 school is study and pointless anyway and it hardly ever works out like people think

Howard isn’t staying at LSU until 2025 if he isn’t starting

Back when Jonah was funny, now that he’s 150lbs lighter he’s just another short skinny actor with besty actor friends. It always baffles me that these actors don’t understand why we thought they were funny in the first place.

Except all top football schools in the country usually get a top 10 qb every single year.

No DL? And only 20 signees total? Also where’s Daugherty?

His dad made him red shirt, obviously because he wants Nuss to not only be good at football, but to also acquire a college degree in the process before he heads off to the NFL. Which means that academically if Nuss stays on schedule, that he will graduate right before he heads off to the NFL after the 2024 season.

No way does Nuss enter the draft after only his red shirt sophomore year. Give me a break. He's not Greedy Williams who was brought up and raised by a dirt poor mother living in the projects. Nuss actually comes from a pretty affluent family.

So yeah, it is very easy to project the future. Nonetheless, genius, even if a 2023 QB commit could start in 2026, they'd still have to be almost as mentally handicapped as you are to want to wait that long just to have an opportunity to start provided they win the starting job.

I mean, some of you people just blow my mind.

The kid can obviously go wherever he wants, but it’s kind of shitty that LSU stood by verge and kept him employed during the sexual assault investigation to have both of his sons go elsewhere.

I’ll bet you a large amount of money that Nuss isn’t the starter against Florida State.
