I never liked it, and have been wondering for a while now when streaming services would go back to a more periodic schedule. You're right. Shows are talked about longer and stick around social media longer when they come out weekly. And people who say they hate to wait...it's not that hard. And it makes the show more enjoyable when anticipation is involved.

What about viewers that fall off due to the longer release? That’s happened to me with a bunch of shows.

Yup. I liked how Amazon did it for Mrs. maisel. I don't binge. Learned my lesson. I watch two or three episodes of a show at a time and that's it. If I really like it, weekends only.

I definitely see that point, but I will usually wait until the full season has been dropped and/or it's close to the finale before watching. I like to watch 2 episodes a night (for hour long, 3-4 for 1/2 hour) a few days in a row. Then again, it works for me because spoilers don't bother me; if anything they make me want to see the build up to the specific spoiler.

I also like to know how certain shows play out so when my wife is surprised, I just F with her and ask her how she didn't see that coming Really messed with her with This is Us because I wasn't into the show, but would occasionally get the spoilers from this board then pop in the room and mess with her (never spoiled it for her and she would always start them late to make sure she didn't miss anything because kids are in that nightmare phase when getting them to bed)

frick all that.

Give me the whole season at once. I’ll watch it as I like. Waiting a week between episodes sucks.

I don’t give a shite if the mush brain mags and talk shows don’t peddle the buzz as long.
