IRL OT meet up - Had a drink with Freminator33 (spl) tonight - he had a 100+ yr old Scotch

He bought an electric guitar from me that I found at a garage sale last weekend. I invited him in for a bourbon and to be my witness that my house isn’t a “Fred Sanford”, over run of trash.
I first poured him an unbelievable lot of Eagle Rare. It was actually the last pour of the bottle.
I show him my bourbon/Scotch collection (I really don’t call it a collection because I drink my stuff).
I point out a bottle of 23 year old scotch, that I thought was bottled in the 50’s. He says the tax stamp says 43 (1943). I never noticed it. That means the scotch was distilled in 1920, bottled in 1943.
I also gave him a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue.
It is always great to have someone over for a simple pour.

I only had one stack of moldy old newspapers fall on me. I think the pillar of National Geographics was load bearing. He wouldn’t let me pull out the one with the tribal titties in it

I’d say you could watch from the closet, but it was filled with unmatched old shoes, speed suits from the 70s (in Puce, Mustard and Avocado) , and a wax model of Bob Geldof.
