What's y'all's level of confidence in LSU recruiting right now?

I don't follow it as much as a lot of y'all do. I do try to stay informed on a lot of the guys we're going after but I've no connections or anything like that.

It would seem to me that we're in the hunt for a lot of ballplayers, which is obviously where you would like us to be. It's good that players are still interested in the program and shows that, contrary to what a lot of people thought when he was hired, Brian Kelly is working his arse off in recruiting and is keeping players interested.

Now, closing out on guys is the key. Which is what I would like to know from y'all. I would like to gauge your confidence on the overall state of LSU recruiting.

I think we could be doing better, but we're right there with everyone else. It's kind of hard to compete with these NIL heavy schools like Tamu, USC, Miami, Bama but if we can keep the best LA players here i'm happy

At least a top ten finish. Kelly is swinging for the fences, with all this NIL talk it's not as easy to foresee who signs as it used to be. But we will be fine.

Right now, recruiting instate looks rough.
LSU may be lucky to get half of the 2023 top 20 in LA
Might only get a couple of the Top 10.

LSU as of now is leading for 2 five stars: Derek Williams is also now a five star. He is a huge priority:
5 star Shelton Sampson (leading)
5 star Dante Moore (leading)
5 star Derek Williams (need to make up a little ground)

Also keep an eye on 5 star WR Carnell Tate (who was hanging out with J. Chase a couple weeks ago). He and Dante Moore are very close. If LSU lands Moore that increase their chances with him.

If LSU were to land those 3 5 stars or at least 2 that will guarantee a top 10 class.

Hopefully we get either Dante Moore, Rickie Collins, or Jaden Rashada.

They have been more national but they are slowly turning the heat up instate the last few days.

I don't know that my confidence has changed.LSU has a lot to offer no matter who the coach is.O and Miles were good recruiters also. The results on the field are what I'm looking forward to.

Yeah, there's a very real chance we only get 1-2 of the top 10 players in the state this year.

The wall is non-existent at this point.

Don’t see LSU landing Derek Williams. They have time but all signs point to out of state for him. Tate is all NIL.

Depending on which rankings you look at, we are serious players for Sampson, Ausberry, Heard, Kylin Jackson, Curtis, and Kaleb Jackson. I feel confident with 4 in that group.

Been saying this for awhile. But with LSU being behind in NIL, this is the new normal

If he goes to USC he isn't going to see that great of level of competition though. Shame on him if he picks them over OSU.

He’s on his official visit there right now. They rolled out the red carpet and then some.

It’s interesting to see LSU on the list for so many top qb’s now. Seems like for the next few years and into the future they can keep landing top rated qb’s as long as BK puts out good offenses.
