Upper Bogue Chitto River - Fishing

Looking to do a float/fish on the upper section of the Bogue Chitto (near McComb/Summit, MS).
Any tips on best stretches to float or bait/lures to use appreciated!

I have a camp on bogue. Best fishing is deep holes. Worms on bottom. Never know what yoi bring up. Catfish,bass, perch. Its always fun

Mostly spottted bass in the river. Look for slack water on the back side of sandbars and log breaks. White chart HandH. Also where small drains spill into main channel.

Caught more fish on that river as a kid with a Chartreuse beetle spin than any other bait. Drove the small spotted bass crazy. Fish the slack water behind log piles and gravel bars as stated above.

@cgrand yea i'll bet that's my cabin - the Blue Heron. If you haven't been back since the renovation you gotta come check it out! Its a whole new world.

i put an offer in on the property at the corner of 93N right by the small bridge last weekend but got out-bid
