Maybe Miles should have coached baseball where there is no clock.

LSU Head Coach top 4 job duties-
Les Miles
Protect the brand-No personal mishaps or major sanctions- A
Win-A
Recruiting/NFL Pipeline A+
Graduate players-B

At the end of the day, the great ones find a way to get it done. And if Saban wouldve been successful in the NFL, this wouldnt even be a thought.

He is one of the best offensive coaches in his field.

How does he remind you of Miles?

JJ actually runs a different play if the first doesn’t work after 10 tries….

Does JJ coach his team to get up 1-0, than bunt the rest of the game hoping to hang on for the win???

I must have missed that. JJ’s game management in his first year is hard pressed to be rivaled by any lsu head coach in their first year.

I thought Jay has been brilliant managing the bullpen. We still have some arms left. Kind of the opposite of Les Miles, actually...

Don't make us go back there again with the heart attack games.

People are blinded by recency bias with Les hate. Was he a great coach no was he a good coach yes. His stubbornness was his limitation. But JJ seems to have it much more together mentally.

When was that? When he was still at Michigan, or when he was at Oklahoma State.

Perhaps it was after being only 1 of 4 coaches to win 8 or more games for 11 straight seasons. In the SEC mind you. And yes, at LSU. You probably knew that but I'll give you a pass for trying to play coy.

LSU sports are bad for the weak or heart. But they win in glorious fashion.

Heart attack games are the reason we got this comparison, but hope JJ rights this ship….and next few years are different

Miles was a blithering idiot who won in spite of himself. That moron legit had no idea...that he had no idea.
