This week I’ve played Rgatta Bay, Emerald Bay, Raven, and Baytown.
All are in their normal great shape. Emerald Bay is punching next Monday -Wednesday. I’ve heard a bunch of courses are about to punch. Call ahead and check before you book.

I have noticed that when booking on Golfnow, they have provided aerification alerts in the course information.

Traveling there last week of June for vacation. Buddy and I will play 2 rounds over a weeks time. Both double digit handicappers. Recommendations on which 2 places to play? Money not really a factor just want best experience possible.

Best experience for double digits? Tough to say.
Kelley plantation and Regatta Bay are top notch. It’s $200 a round
Emerald Bay is very nice. Condition wise on tap with the top 2. It’s a hair cheaper.
Indian Bayou is the old country club. It’s always in great shape. Dimple mugs for draft beer in the club house. I’m playing there this week and will report back.
SanDestin courses are all nice and in great shape. Raven, Baytown, Links in that order of best course. There’s a private course there that everyone but me on this board is invited to, so good luck.
Seascape is another public option. It’s the muni of munis. It’s terrible or at least from the road it looks bad.
Most courses in the area have force carries and OB is dead. Emerald Bay is punching tomorrow. Call ahead everywhere and find out what the deal is. Use GolfNow!

Probably played 100 rounds in the area and I've never played BP either.
I’m playing Indian bayou tomorrow. I’ll post a review

I can’t think of any course I’ve played in that area that I didn’t like. My favorite was Santa Rosa Golf club, but it’s private now. It was unique in that it had some elevation changes.

Yes! Great track. The hurricane screwed up the 2 holes that butt up with the beach, but I heard they got it back.

Indian bayou
It’s in great shape!! There’s still a little sand on the greens from a punch a few weeks back. They roll very true.
Fairways and tees are full of grass. The ball sits up nice in the fairway.

I have only played BP…. It is amazing… but would like to play a couple of the others. Just hard to pull myself away from BP if I only have one round to play

Love Indian Bayou, one of my favorite gulf coast/panhandle courses.

Wish they hadn't gotten rid of the creek course. Hated it as a kid and can't tell you how many top flites I hit into the swamps, but now I am able to hit it over I wish I could play it again.

The Sandestin courses are hard to beat for the value.
The Raven is one of the best courses in the area.
The Links has some of the most gorgeous bay/water views of any course in the panhandle.
Baytowne is just a solid course all holes are fun except #13! Still can’t understand that hole….. it seems like it was an after thought. ??
Burnt Pine, if you can get on it, is exceptional. Par 3 #14 is incredible challenge and the view of the Choctawhatchee Bay is fantastic!

Yes. I forgot to post. They are down to 18 holes. Creek 9 is closed. That was the 9 with a lot of forced carries and the holes next to the airfield. I liked that 9. Oh well.

Was that the one with that par 4 where your tee shot had to land in like a 50 yard long landing spot or else it was swamp/foliage short and long? That hole was a mfer. You had to basically hit hybrid or 3 wood, driver was too long.
ETA: yep it was this one right here. Little tiny landing zone in the middle. It was hard but a fun hole.

Yes! It was all over grown. I think they kept they landing area and green up as a seed green though. Everything else was WAY over grown.
