Trying to find a campsite to drop a large travel trailer for 2-3 months near the ocean. They are building next door to me and it would be nice to get away for weeks at a time. We have been looking at state parks in Alabama and Florida but they are all booked up.

Anyone know of any private campgrounds that are clean and safe that have pads and hookups near or on the coast?

Should this be a better question for the OB?

Thanks!

Is there an instance where the coast is not near the ocean? Don’t overthink it, it’s not that hard.

St Andrews is on of my favorite State Parks in Florida. I’m not sure if they have a max length of stay though.

I think he’s referring to the fact that you are calling the Gulf an ocean.

Ft. Pickens in Pensacola is nice. Not sure if you’re looking as far as Biloxi but Biloxi Bay RV resort is brand new and really nice.

4 campgrounds here in Navarre that are on the sound and have their own little beach (usually white).

Only minutes from the gulf (except on weekends when traffic can back up).

Santa Rosa RV
Emerald Beach
Navarre Beach
Hideaway Retreat

State parks are likely full unless you check every day...
Big Lagoon
Ft Pickens
Topsail
Grayton Beach
St Andrews
St Joseph
St George

Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores is a great place. Lots of quiet roads for biking. Very nice lake for kayaking or fishing.
