Lange was fantastic but had struggles. Nola never had ebbs and flows. It always felt like Nola was a guaranteed W on a Friday night against anyone’s ace.

Neither Lange nor Nola would have put up the innings Ben did that weekend in 1989 against one of the greatest College Baseball teams in history TAMU.
Lange digressed over his time at LSU. Ben won the Golden Spikes with some serious talent in that class.
