And, to an earlier poster, "storm" can mean the same thing as "assault." "They stormed the fort" or "They assaulted the fort."

Hence my philology comment.

BJ knows this. He just finds that sort of exchange entertaining. I don't mind it from him, as it is done in good humor.

Except, if it were “assault gun” it could be called angriffgewehr.

Just because words can be synonymous does not mean they are the same word


Storm = sturm

Assault = angriff
