Here’s an interesting statistic…

97,568 public schools
$40 billion in Ukraine aide
Divide that out and you get:
$409,970.48 per school.
Sounds like a decent salary for 2-3 armed guards for each school in the US.
Public School Source
But for some reason, we like taking care of others before ourselves. It’s a shame.

Someone mentioned it during Crowder’s show this morning.

We have a lot of anti-American globalists in this country.
The OT war thread showed me there are a lot of anti-American globalists on this site.

But what would I do with my "I stand with Ukraine" shirt and flag, you insensitive bastard?
Posted on 5/25/22 at 5:12 pm to finchmeister08
They don’t even need the Ukrainian money, they have a 130 billion surplus from the Covid/inflation bill.

We are an altruistic country.

Armed guards for every school is a terrible idea.

Armed guards for every school is a terrible idea.
there should be a sign that says "armed guards and police on duty during school hours".
but that is offensive, right?

The people screaming the loudest about this on the left were all pushing defund the police six months ago including that frickhead Beto.

Because it hasn’t been shown to deter shooters.
Some reports indicate there was armed security at the Uvalde school.

The same "woke" crowd who wanted to defund the police also wanted LEO off of school property. Remember that shite?

That may be, but they certainly didn't have good security measures in place. The shooter was able to walk directly into the school without even opening a door, and there was clearly no armed guard at that spot. This was caught on video and widely circulated yesterday. Armed guards definitely do very little good if you're letting people just waltz right into the school through entrances where armed guards aren't stationed.

Schools suck at laundering money though.

quote:Because it's an over-reaction to something that is vanishingly rare. As many have pointed out, school shootings are sensationally reported but never placed in the proper context of a population of 330 million.
Why?
Not only wouldn't it be worth the effort and resources, but, IMO, it's just a social and developmental negative to turn places for young people into pits of potential risk.
I say the same thing about the over-masking - it encourages you to think of your fellow human as simply a set of potential risks that could harm you INSTEAD of as another potential pal.
This country is TERRIBLE at assessing actual risks - and it comes from both sides. Just look at diet - tens of millions pump absolute shite and poison into their bodies (and into their precious children) without a second thought.
