Best thing that happened to me before building a pool was finding troublefreepool. You have gotten great advice here as usual, but I would head over there as well. Not just building but water maintenance as well.

yep a bunch of smart, retired, grumpy old men over there who are SPOT ON with their advice.
i asked a question about a UV system connected to my current pool and just sat back and watched the shite fly.
you had the "useless, rip it out" followed by a scientific treatise from a different old grumpy man as to why it DOES work.
