You'd rather your QB scramble than be able to complete passes and run the full offense. F'n brilliant.

Do you know what the hell a spread offense is?

Lee isn't the problem. Our running game getting neutered out of the offensive playcalling in the first half contributed infinitely more to losing the game than Lee's picks.

Still don't know why we ran so much shotgun our first three offensive possessions. We gave up on the run after falling behind, big mistake.

obviously you dont.

"The spread option is a run-first scheme which requires a quarterback that is comfortable carrying the ball, a mobile offensive line that can pull and trap effectively, and receivers that can hold their blocks. The essence of the spread option is misdirection. Effectively, this is the old triple option except that it utilizes spread sets. In particular, the quarterback must be able to read the defensive end and determine whether he is collapsing down the line or playing upfield contain."

dumbass.

I'm not a coach, but I dont think LSU runs a "spread offense", but they apply "spread principles". Which I believe means they employ 4 or 5 WRs to spread a defense out. the Patriots did this last year with drop back Tom Brady. Texas Tech's offense is considered spread in the same way. The spread you are thinking of I suppose is West Virginia, Michigan, or Florida.

I could be wrong though, I'm no expert.

The point is JL led us back when we were down 20-0. If the defense makes ONE stop in the third quarter we can re-establish the running game and the pick 6 never happens. Please, please, please end this thread now.

the only reason Hatch got the job was by default. hatch was older, Crowton's guy and was the back up last year. Lee, in the meantime, was injured and missed alot of ST. This is the whole reason Hatch was ven in there in the first place. He is not SEC material

Ding, Ding, Ding.......we have a winner....

i'd rather have jefferson run the option instead of hatch, if that's all he's going to do.

the reason i posted this is because he proved to me in the florida game that hes not ready to take control of this team yet and he should not be the starter

Yeah I mean we should expect a RS Freshman who's playing in an offense that is based on running the ball/play action to carry us to a victory while we only rushed for 70 some odd yards. GREAT CALL LSURED!!!!!!

I'd say that all QBs make a lot of mistakes, it's the toughest position to play. I think Flynn made fewer mistakes than most though.
