The world would be a better place if these people realized that we're all gonna die soon, and when we do, we go back into the nothingness that we "experienced" before we were born.

Unfortunately I don’t believe it would make the world better at all. A great number of weak people need such beliefs to either give their life meaning or control societally harmful impulses.

Now many, many religious people would find other things to provide meaning and do not need religion to be decent citizens to be sure. This happens all the time. But enough would go into “life is meaningless, burn it all down” mode that it would be a net negative.

Religion is useful in that regard

We’ve seen places where everyone “realized” that and it wasn’t a “better place”

Also, your edge lord pseudo philosophy isn’t as smart as you think it is.
