Since I’m supposed to like it.
Maybe you have some sort of adverse smell/taste reaction to it like some folks have with cilantro.

Could be.
My wife likes it and uses it from time to time.

Don't be a martyr. No one is making you like it. You do, however, seen to have an odd aversion to it.

Eh. Just a joke. Gris got it.
I don’t think it’s odd. My wife likes it. I just am turned off by the smell.

Of course not.
To be clear though, I'm not saying that having an aversion to it per se is what is odd. It's the nature of your aversion to it, as expressed in this thread, that seems to be odd.

There’s a difference. Ghee can be stored at room temperature. Clarified butter should be refrigerated. Ghee is cooked longer and gets rid of more moisture content. There’s not a huge difference but there is a difference.
Indian recipes call for ghee. Clarified butter works just fine but there is a subtle difference between the two.

Haha! Good points.
My first post was a visceral reaction to my introduction to the vile grease.

I've read in many places that room temperature is perfectly fine for several months. I never refrigerate mine because I don't want it rock hard and cold.
I go through it fast enough that a couple of sticks will never be there more than 1 month anyway.
